I installed a printer driver on my notebook and after restarting the note book could no longer boot, I tried the safe mode sothat I can uninstall but could not boot from the safe mode. so now I bought a 2.5" hard disk inclosure and tried to convert it to an external hard drive but if I plug it to the usb port it only shows me a red light and PCs does not recorgnize it at all.
Thank u all.

I have an old IBM notebook with only an ethernet connection available. I have a My Book external hard drive full of music that connects via USB. How do I hook up the laptop ethernet to the external drive USB? I want to play the music on the external hard drive while hooked up to the old laptop. My computer experience is limited. Thanks.

If you have a USB drive, you can boot off of it with a Linux OS like you would do with a bootable “Live CD.” Did you know that? This is ideal if your computer doesn’t have an optical drive, or just don’t have any blank CD’s laying around. This video is being demonstrated with Slax.
