I have a PSP that has a Custom Firmware 3.03 OE-C and i download games from torrents websites and play them. I connect my PSP to a computer that has AMD 64 atholon motherboard and 512 MB i dont know about the USB if its 2.0 or 1. There are no errors in the Device manager and i’ve connected my PSP in all of the USB ports on my PC. PSP works some times but for very short time you can say for 5 seconds and then the folder contaning the ISO folder closes automatically. When i connect my PSP my computer reads it as a Mass USB storage and Disk drive but not as PSP. Psp used to work fine on my pervious PC which was a sony viao 800 mhz 256 mb pc. My psp never gave any errors on my old psp but in this AMD one it never recognizes. THe last time i connected my psp it worked as a disk drive popup came on the task bar and my psp folder opend but when i tried to send files in it an error message came up and said invalid parameter. I use a motorolla usb cable that is for my L7 phone please help!!!!!!
Ok here is the deal with every PC I have used I always run into problems with Burning CD/dvds. Always…… It does not matter if its off the shelf computers or custom made and all my family and friends run into similar problems. Discs freezing during burn or refusing to burn at all or the drive reading dvds as cds and so forth. I can sometimes fix the problem but it will return and worse.
I need an alternative. Do external Dvd burners work well enough to bother with them? I only burn about 1-2 dvds a month on average. I want to backup data without useing a external hard drive. Also can I play games on an external dvd burner? without losing game play? And it needs to be usb. Even though I got a expensive PC the mobo had no firewire and I am not going to get a firewire PCI card.
So which USB external dvd burners do you suggest price is really not a concern and will I run into problems with an external drive as often with internal? Please tell me I am not the only one. Thanks.
I am buying it in stores. So I am looking for model names.
Hiya,
I’m quickly running out of space on my main laptop harddisk so I was considering buying an external drive (as no space to install a secondary drive in the laptop)
I would keep work on the laptop so I can carry it round with me then for when I’m at home I would have games (including Flight Simulator X) on the external drive.
My worry is would having the external drive connected via USB/Firewire (both available) be really slow in terms of data transfer particularly with games like flightsim which require a huge amount of data to be transferred from the HD to the ram? If it would be slower how noticable would it be?
If the games are installed via my Laptop, could I take the Harddisk to another computer and play the games on that or are the registry entries stored on the Laptop disk (where the OS is) and therefore the games wouldnt work on another PC.
Assuming it would work can anyone recommend a good (preferably less than £100) 250/500GB disk?
Thanks
Alistair
