Ever plugged a USB flash drive, removable hard drive, SD card, camera, phone or other external storage device into a PC and not found it coming up in (My) Computer? Chances are it’s tried to take a drive letter (F:/, G:/ etc) that’s already assigned to another device or partitioned space. This tutorial will show you how to find the storage device you’ve plugged in, change the drive letter and let you access the contents of that device. If you find this helpful, rate and comment. This is part of a series of tutorials to help you out with your PC or Mac computer.

jakewright.net – I’ve been using a 120GB HDD an an enclosure with Time Machine for quite a while now and have had the hard drive for a number of years. Unfortunately, it died and I needed a replacement. After a lot of searching, I chose the My Book hard drive and got the 1TB version!
