I just bought a new ILogic USB Flash Drive 2.0, that contains 1GB worth of memory. I plugged it into my computer normally, and it automatically installed it successfully, however when I went into [ My Computer/Disk Drive E:\ ] the file that contained my USB Flash Drive, it said that it needed to be Formatted, so I did. There was a problem, I looked at the capacity and it said "Capacity : 8MB", but my Flash Drive is 1GB, I thought it was just a glitch so I clicked "Start" to start formatting the Disk Drive. When it was finished about 1 second later it said "Windows was unable to complete format" then it said "Disk E could not be formatted".
I’ve tried everything from opening "Disk Management" in run.. (diskmgmt.msc)
to downloading things that was SUPPOSED to help.
And I still have the same problem.
What’s going on?
Why is this happening?
How can I fix this?
Can you help me?

Please give details for me to understand my situation.

Ok i have an odd problem! My USB flash drive will not show up in my computer, it gets read by my computer and even shows up in Device manager but not in My computer or disk management!

Also while in Disk management i noticed my Hard drive wasn’t showing up in there, its in my computer and running fine .. im using the computer right now as we speak but it doesn’t show up in Disk management the only thing that does is my CD ROM.

So if anyone has any solution’s to my problem or suggestions please don’t hesitate to share!
Ok heres some more info:

I have tried rebooting i have actually tried everything everyone suggested. As for my Hard drive coming up as Drive0 i know that already but the problem I have is that its not showing up at all in Disk management.

I have a 20GB external USB 2.0 hard drive and a new Sony Vaio laptop (that has the compatible 2.0 USB ports / hubs that also supply the power to the external drive). It says if I have Windows XP (which I do), then I don’t need to install the drivers. I go and right click on My Computer, select Manage, and then go to Storage and then Disk Management (after the hard drive is connected – the light is on and the hard drive is spinning). The drive does not show up in Disk Management – how do I locate the drive to make it show up in My Computer?
